We arrive in San Salvador, the most important cosmopolitan city in El Salvador, with a population of 2 million inhabitants, where San Salvador has become the main city, due to its infrastructure, history and commerce. We begin our adventure, visiting the Historic Center, with its imposing cultural and religious buildings, here we will have a tour with our guide to learn first-hand about the culture of the Salvadorans, we will also visit the Boquerón National Park, this tour is to observe the crater of a volcano that is “dormant” a concept given by geological experts, and at the end we move to the “Puerta del Diablo”, a park with impressive views of mountains and towns, here we will also have the opportunity to eat the delicious pupusas, National and Cultural dish of El Salvador. On our third day of exploration, we moved to a region full of biodiversity, Jiquilisco Bay, formed by extensive channels of mangrove forest, here you can see animals such as American crocodile, spider monkeys, migratory and native birds & land mammals; this region is also visited by 4 species of sea turtles, that is why in the afternoon we will experience one of the most successful sea turtle conservation programs in LATAM with the PRO COSTA foundation, this scientific monitoring is to Protect and Conserve these beautiful marine animals. Cihuatan is the largest archaeological site in El Salvador of the post-classical period, where the last pre-Hispanic civilization was established. There, with your guide, you are going to learn about the “Nahuas Pipiles” its rituals, culture, ball court, sacred temples, a walled city, and museum. We start our day at 8.00 am, to visit one of the most important Mayan archaeological sites in Mesoamerica, here we can learn everything about the daily life of the common Mayan farmers, then we move to the San Andrés ceremonial site and finally we move to the Coatepeque Lake with volcanic origin, so, here you can have a relaxing time in these fresh waters (here you can do extra activities such as jet ski & boat rides) Hotel Remfort Santa Ana
Santa Ana Volcano is the highest active volcano in El Salvador and the most beautiful in El Salvador, widely visited for its emerald green lagoon inside its crater. To reach its summit we must walk 2 hours on a path that crosses three types of ecosystems, and another 2 hours to return; This tour is done with an expert guide from the protected natural area.
